I'm absolutely amazed. It sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime meal and experience.


How exciting! Did you feel that your meal was as excellent as Mr. FM's, or do the vegetarian offerings not measure up? Would love to read about your feedback on the individual dishes!

Also, I'm assuming that you didn't get the oyster and pearls dish; what did they substitute for it?


I plan to post my thoughts and observations -- with any luck, today or tomorrow -- but to answer your questions, Cindy, I did feel like my meal was as good as his. If I had it to do over, I'd request oysters and pearls though as my first course -- turnip cream and umebochi gelee? Puh-lease. That one didn't hold the candle wick, much less the candle, to Mr. FM's dish.
