I have been a busy girl. In the last few days, I have made cauliflower gratin with my very first truly good bechamel sauce; roast pork loin with fig-port sauce; soft, creamy celeriac puree; sweet braised red cabbage; deviled eggs; toro, avocado and yuzu tartare with taro chips; green beans with crispy fried shallots; milk chocolate panna cotta; Ruch Reichl's divinely gooey brownies; next-day sandwiches piled high with cold roast pork, braised cabbage and spicy mustard. In honor of the Superbowl, tonight I'm going to make spicy buffalo wings and nachos piled high with feta and scallions and jalapenos. Gross, but good. Pardon me while I pork.
I've been porking too, like you. Really porking.
