I have never seen a million dollars. I've never had it in the bank, or seen it on a check, or felt it in my hot little hands. I have, however, smelled and tasted it, most recently when I made the oats and honey pie that won last year's annual Pillsbury Bake-off. The grand prize? You got it. One million smackers.
The winning entry you see here reminds me of chess pie (think pecan pie minus the pecans) with some extra goodies: walnuts, oats, and chocolate chips, all nestled in a dense bed of brown sugar and corn syrup atop a flaky buttery crust. Ummm, rich and gooey and good, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I think Pillsbury got their money's worth.
(Now, would I rather have the pie or a million bucks, you ask? I think you folks know the answer to that one. Sorry, Citibank.)

That sure is a mean looking pie! Wow a million bucks? Where is the equivelent in Oz? *sigh*

Clare -- I don't think there are rules against an Aussie entering the contest....
