As Nosheteria suggested, it IS an outpost of the East Bay Bittersweet Chocolate Café. Not that I know what that is, but I'm having visions of rich hot chocolate, cakes topped with bittersweet ganache, rows of candy bars imported from Venezuela and Switzerland, and other chocolatey delights! Their web site invites the curious to email them for information, which I, dear readers, have done, for your sakes (of course!)

As I sit here procrastinating (I am supposed to be writing Gayot.com reviews) I visited your blog for a break. As the chocolate shop in question is in the Northside, I have your answer, and I think you're going to like it -- Bittersweet is a "chocolate tasting room," a branch of the popular shop in Oakland's swanky Rockridge district (think of it as the Marina without the water).
