This morning Mr. Food Musings and I are off to take a bite out of the Big Apple! We'll be there for 5 whole days, visiting friends and eating our way around town. Suffice it to say, I'll have plenty to tell when I return. But never fear - I have a few posts ready to go in my absence, so don't write me off while I'm on holiday. A blogger's work is never done...
Here is our itinerary as it relates to eating. (And what, really, doesn't?)
THURSDAY APRIL 14: Arrive at 8 pm EST and check into our hotel. Proceed to the original Les Halles and eat the frites Anthony Bourdain made famous. This was Mr. Food Musings's only request. (Well, the only request I entertained.)
FRIDAY APRIL 15: MoMA, then wine and cheese chez Little Sister with her and The Boyfriend. (She's already selected a special white Burgundy, one of Mr. FM's favorites.) Then onto Mario Batali's Babbo and the glorious pasta tasting menu.
SATURDAY APRIL 16: A Food Tour of Chelsea and the meat packing district! We'll eat our way around the 'hood. Onto H.'s 40th birthday bash in New Jersey in the evening.
SUNDAY APRIL 17: Brunch at Pastis with Little Sister and The Boyfriend, something something something, then dinner with K. and C. at Wallse.
MONDAY APRIL 18: No plans! (I'm not that OCD, folks!) And home, sweet home.
Try "The Corner Bistro" at Jane and Hudson street...some of the best burgers in NYC (if you're not a veg)
